Peru Trek
A collection of photos from the five day return trek to Choquequirao (sister site to Machu Picchu) in Peru during June 2007. The trek itself was the only way to reach the site as the is no road, train or helicopter access! The trek began at Cachora (2900m) and on the first day went 19km through La Colmena (2750m), Capuliyoq (2915m), Chikisca (1950m) before camping by the river at Rosalina (1550m). On the following day it was an 11km hike up to Choquequirao (3030m) via Santa Rosa (2115m) & Marampata (2910m).
