It was a game of two halves - the half where EJ & MJ scored against Adam and the half where EJ & JT scored against Kit. They turned up with no keeper so again we had to beat ourselves (hee hee hee, that sounded dirrrty!). We were like a monkey virus in Manhattan... rampant! It was another hot sunny day on a pitch with so much sand on it that a camel would have been happy - sadly he couldn't make it. The team played as a team. Matt passed, Lee kicked their players to the ground in the D, Holly thwarted their probing runs and James and Jake ran around in wild dysfunction. After a squawking from the Parrot at half time, we went back out and doubled our goal tally - effectively this made the game like a birds nest on a chimney pot... out of reach for the Optimists. With the sound of success ringing in our ears we went back to the Settle Inn to watch EJ's team of muppety out-classed rugby players get humiliated by the mighty England Six Nations champions, Gland Slam winners & Triple Crown snatchers. Bring on the Surrey Tour next week.
