10-Aug-10 - Hornets fail to place at Bath after Super Plate win in Guildford.
The Hornets are putting together a mix of results this year - with a play-off place at Southampton in Easter, the Hornets followed that up by winning the Super Plate at Guildford in July. Then a fortnight later some shocking umpiring, general laziness and too may grass games saw the Hornets fail to finish in the top two of their group, thereby making an early exit from the Bath festvial. However, 2010 has an additional tour in it this year and Purley 7s may offer the chance for further glory.
17-July-10 - Anglia Hornets Confirm MASSIVE team entry to Guildford 2010.
As expected the Hornets have confirmed their entry to the Guildford Tour 2010. This continues the Hornets entries into every single guildford tour that has ever run... stretching back to the first ever Guildford Festival in 2004. Additionally, the Hornets announce their largest ever tour squad for a single team tour. Twenty one players will be off to Guildford in July to compete in the LadyBoys festival in the hope to add a third title to the two tournament wins already recorded on this tour.
21-Apr-10 - Anglia Hornets Confirm Entry to Riverside 7s.
A new tour is added into the program for 2010. After a number of Hornets being called into action last minute in 2009 to help out the THD Dragons, the Hornets decided to field their own team in 2010. So for the first time, in August, the Hornets will take part in the Riverside 7s festival in Purley.
10-Mar-10 - Anglia Hornets Confirm Entry to Bath 2010.
As expected the Hornets have confirmed their entry in the Bath Tour 2010. This continues the Hornets entries into every single Bath tour that has ever run... stretching back to the first ever Bath Festival in 2002. While success in terms of trophies has eluded the Hornets at Bath for many years it is hoped that they can go one better this year and win the competition after placing as runners-up in 2009.
15-Feb-10 - Hornets Return to Trojans HC for Easter Tour 2010.
After a years absence the Hornets have confirmed that they will be returning to the Trojans Easter Hockey Festival in Southampton. The plan had always been to attend this festival for three years but last year's Easter hockey activities coincided with the Hornets 10th year anninversary. As such it was agreed to go back to the original tour where it had all begun - Bournemouth. With that completed the Hornets are back to Southampton to pick up where they left off... the bar!.
